What’s new in 0.4.2
This release expands PRINTCHECK from file checking into a more complete pre-production workflow.
Non-destructive Repair copy
Crop transparent margins, remove detached islands or an edge-connected background, refine alpha and resample a working copy without overwriting the source.
Recheck and white-base preview
Run preflight again after a repair and preview a simulated white base before returning to production.
Stronger detail evidence
More precise evidence for thin and micro-sized elements helps the operator inspect genuinely risky areas.
More print placements
Custom placement plus left- and right-sleeve positions can be stored with jobs and included in backups.
Clearer production documents
Approval sheets and production cards carry placement, contact data, artwork facts and unresolved production risks more clearly.
Microsoft Store edition
The signed full edition is now available in Microsoft Store without a separate key. Artwork, jobs and settings remain local.

The practical questions, answered.
Is PRINTCHECK really free?
Yes. PRINTCHECK is a private hobby project and is free to use. Supporting its development is optional and does not unlock extra features.
Do I need to install anything?
The quick check runs in your browser. For repair copies, saved jobs and production documents, use the Windows 10/11 app from Microsoft Store.
Which artwork files can I check?
PNG and JPG. Enter the intended print size so the resolution can be assessed at the size you will actually print. Use PNG when the artwork needs transparency.
Does a good result guarantee a good print?
A check helps you assess the file. It cannot predict every printer, ink, material or press setting. Review the warnings and make a test print when needed.
Does the Windows app upload my artwork?
The Windows app processes artwork locally on your computer. Exports are created when you request them. The app privacy policy explains the details.
